The Strawberry Tree – Top Rated

I‘m always on the look out for affordable luxury treats. The Strawberry Tree, Ireland’s only certified organic restaurant, never disappoints. All their food is sourced from local suppliers and is to die for. This is where I go – about twice a year – when I want to feel rich without actually having to be rich. For €65, you can have the most incredible five course feast:

Started, soup/salad/sorbet, main course, dessert/cheese and coffee.

Granted, that’s not exactly cheap, but it’s worth every cent.

Their menu is rich, varied and imaginative. My dish a Grilled Asparagus, Confit Tomato, Blue Cheese Cream was light yet satisfying; my partner had the Goats Cheese with Foccaccia, Roast Peppers and Red Wine, which was divine. After a delicious Chicken & Barley Broth or a Carrot and Orange Sorbet, try the Fresh Tarragon Pasta with Wild Mushrooms and Vintage Cheese (delicious and tasty) or go for the beef fillet with Buttered Beetroot, Balsamic Jus (succulent and tender).

The Strawberry Tree offers genuinely great service, opulent atmosphere and top class meals. They also come up with a mouth watering new menu every month or so. Oh, and they can boast some of the best desserts in Ireland!
